Carlsberg x Emilia Ilke – Campaign
A successful launch of the new Sleek Can, where unique artwork and poster tubes highlighted a classic taste in a new form.
Challenge Carlsberg set out to launch its new, more sophisticated can design — The Sleek Can — aiming to highlight its iconic flavor through packaging alone, without changing the product itself. Insight While taste remains unchanged, perceptions of flavor and quality are strongly influenced by visual and cultural cues. There was an opportunity to translate the brand’s heritage and timeless taste into a more expressive, abstract visual context, while also highlighting its new, sleek design. Solution We positioned the launch at the intersection of craft, design, and contemporary art. In collaboration with Swedish artist Emilia Ilke, a series of posters were created that translated the campaign’s visual language into collectible artworks. These were distributed in poster tubes to reinforce the sleekness of the new design, paired with the updated can and sent to a curated group of design-forward influencers. Classic taste, new form.
